On the continent, Nigerian startups dominate Africa in terms of fund-raising, attracting a record number of 373,500 million FCFA in investments in 2019. While in 2018, three countries (Kenya, Nigeria and South Africa) had received 78% of the total investments granted to startups. The landscape has been reshaped with four countries in 2019, namely: Nigeria, Kenya, Egypt and South Africa which mobilized 85% of the total funding allocated to African startups.
